Choose the service that fits your stage
Termites live in the soil and work their way toward the wood and structural materials inside a building. Sandy dry soil and high summer temperatures help them spread unseen, and damage to doors, floors and walls often becomes visible only after it has been going on for a long time.
The first sign you usually see is not the insect itself. It is hollow-sounding wood that taps with an empty note, paint peeling without a clear reason, or thin mud tunnels running along a wall or near the foundations. In buildings under construction, there is a wider opportunity to protect the entire structure before the slab is poured and the walls are finished.
Termite control differs depending on the stage: is the building under construction or already occupied? What is the floor area, the type of soil and the materials involved? These are the questions we start with when you call or message us on WhatsApp, so we can agree the right service and a time that suits you.
Termite protection starts before construction or after it; the right service depends on which stage you are at now.
- Pre-construction termite treatmentWhen the building is not yet finished and you want to protect the foundations and structure from termites before the final fit-out.
What sets Al Mith'ab apart
Small hamlets like Al Mith'ab have detached family homes with large spaces around each one, and buildings are often older or built with timber. Termites are drawn to these materials easily, especially if moisture comes from nearby wells or damp ground. When you call, tell us the age of your home, the materials used, and areas of concern, and we arrange the inspection accordingly.
Al Mith'ab is a small hamlet with homes spread over wide land, and you order the service as in other areas: by call or WhatsApp, with an inspection time agreed.
In small hamlets, nearby wells and damp ground can increase termite activity, so mention any known sources of moisture.

Questions about Termite control
What is the difference between termite spraying and treating the foundations?
Termite spraying targets areas where activity shows up inside a completed building, while foundation treatment is carried out during construction before the slab is poured, forming a barrier in the soil to stop termites rising. The right service depends on which stage your building is at when you call.
How do I know I have termites and not ordinary ants?
Termites look and behave differently: they are creamy white in colour, have short legs and build mud tunnels on walls while avoiding light. Ordinary ants walk in visible lines. The clearest signs are hollow wood and mud trails rather than the insect itself.
Do I need to leave the house before treatment?
It depends on the type of treatment and the areas targeted, and we tell you exactly what is needed when we agree the time. In some cases clearing the treated rooms temporarily is enough; in others leaving the building for a period is advisable. We will tell you precisely what is needed before we arrive.
I see mud tunnels on an outside wall. Is that serious?
Mud tunnels are passages that termites build to travel between the soil and their target without exposure to air. Finding them on an outside wall means they are looking for a way in or have already found one. Inspecting the area closely shows whether the activity is current or old.
Does termite (arda) control differ between villas and flats?
Yes. A villa has foundations in direct contact with the soil and more wood in its doors and suspended ceilings, making it more exposed. Flats on upper floors carry less risk, but ground-floor flats or those with a garden need an inspection similar to a villa. These details affect how the work is approached.
Does termiticide spraying protect a building for a long time?
No treatment lasts indefinitely, because conditions change: soil cracks, moisture levels shift and alterations are made to the building. A treatment forms an effective barrier for a period, after which the building needs to be reassessed depending on its condition and the level of risk.
Can I request termite control for a commercial building?
Yes, we carry out termite control in both residential and commercial buildings across and the surrounding area. When you call, tell us the type of building, the approximate area and what signs you have noticed, and we agree on what suits your situation.
My home is very old, can termites be treated in it?
Yes, we inspect older homes and handle treatment based on the building's condition and materials used. Tell us when it was built and which areas are affected when you call, and we arrange the inspection.
Will the treatment affect the well near the house?
Details of treatment safety near water sources are agreed when you call. Tell us where the well is, and we arrange the treatment to ensure safety.
