Questions about Water tank cleaning
There is sediment at my tap; is the tank the cause?
In most cases yes. Fine sediment gathers on the floor of the ground tank or the rooftop tank over time and is carried with the water to taps and filters. Cracked concrete or dust entering through a loose lid is often the source. Scrubbing the walls and floor of the tank removes this build-up.
My water smell has changed; do I need tank washing or something else?
A change in smell calls for checking the tank first. A film or accumulated dirt on the walls and floor is a common source, and tank washing clears it. If water tank disinfection is also needed, that is a separate service you can agree on when you call.
How do I know which of my two tanks needs cleaning?
The ground tank tends to collect more sediment because it takes the supply directly from the mains. The rooftop tank is more affected by sun, dust and birds and can develop a slimy film. If you notice a smell or sediment but are not sure which tank is the cause, tell us what you notice and we agree what is needed.
What is the difference between water-tank cleaning and tank cleaning and insulation?
Water-tank cleaning means removing sediment, dust and dirt from inside the tank. Tank cleaning and insulation means cleaning is combined with applying an insulating layer to the tank wall or lid to reduce heat transfer or stop a leak. Is drinking-water tank cleaning different from ordinary tank cleaning?
The difference lies in the care given to the inner storage surfaces and the thorough removal of any algae film, because this water is used for drinking and cooking. The general steps of emptying, scrubbing and rinsing are the same, and the details are agreed with you when you call.
Does villa tank hygiene service differ from an apartment building?
In villas there are usually two separate tanks with clear access, and the owner can typically coordinate on their own. In apartment towers and shared buildings the tank may be shared or in a location that requires coordination with building management. In both cases, tell us the type of building and your district and we arrange it.
Does villa tank cleaning include painting the tank inside?
Cleaning and painting are two separate services. Cleaning removes sediment and dirt. If the tank wall is worn or cracked, water-tank painting follows the cleaning to protect the surface. You can request both when you call and we agree what you need.
Can you clean a tank that is rusty inside?
