What does rooftop cleaning cover?
A rooftop faces dust and sandstorms throughout the year, and summer heat bakes the sediment into the tiles and pushes grime into drainage openings and gutters. What you cannot see from below accumulates quietly until drain channels block or hard stains set in that become far harder to shift later.
Call or message us on WhatsApp and tell us your district, the type of roof surface and what you have noticed, whether it is old sediment, blocked gutters or algae that appeared after the rainy season, and we agree a time that suits you.
These are the parts the work goes through on a rooftop, depending on its type, condition and what you have noticed on it.
- Roof tiles and floor
We remove layers of dust, sand and baked-on sediment from the tile surface, because the heat bonds these layers into the pores of the tiles and they do not come away without direct treatment.
- Gutters and drain openings
We check the gutters and clear out the accumulated dust, debris and leaf matter, because a blocked gutter traps standing water on the roof during the rainy season and puts stress on the structure.
- Vents and grilles
Vent grilles trap coarse dust over time and the airway narrows gradually, so we clear the build-up to keep ventilation working as it should.
- Parapets and outer walls
Parapets take windblown dust from every direction, and marks and grime collect on them, so we wipe and clear them as part of the roof clean.
- Water tank surrounds
The area around the water tank collects sediment and can hold small puddles after rain, so we clean the floor around it without touching the tank itself.
- Roof-access stairway
The stairway and hatch that lead up to the roof collect dust from inside and outside, and we include them in the clean so that dirt does not track back across the rest of the surface.

Questions about Rooftop cleaning
How do I know my rooftop needs cleaning now?
If you go up and see a grey or brown film on the tiles, notice water pooling after rain instead of draining away quickly, or spot green discolouration at the edges, those are clear signs. Many rooftops collect hard sediment for a long time without anyone going up to check, and catching it early makes the work simpler.
What should I prepare before you come to clean the roof?
Make sure the door or stairway up to the roof is open and easy to reach. If there are things stored on the roof such as old furniture, spare tanks or building materials, move them away from the main work area. If the water tank is close to where the cleaning will happen, mention it when you call and we will take it into account.
What should I check after the rooftop is cleaned?
Check the gutters and drain openings to confirm they are completely clear. Look at the tiles in direct light to see that the hard layers are gone. Check that the vent grilles look clean and unblocked. If a patch of hard stain remains in a particular spot, let us know so we can go back to it.
Does the size of the roof affect the cost of cleaning?
Yes, the area is one factor, along with the condition of the surface, how heavily the sediment has built up and how easy it is to reach all parts of the roof. That is why we ask when you call for the approximate area and what you notice, and we agree the details together before we start.
Algae appeared on the roof edge after the rain, is that different from ordinary dust?
Yes, algae grow from moisture that stays in the pores of tiles or parapets after rain and they are not just dry dust. They appear as green or black patches on shaded edges and corners. When you call, tell us exactly where they are and how large the area is, and that helps us prepare the right approach for them within the roof clean.
