What does locust control cover?
Locusts move in groups and are drawn to greenery and outdoor lighting. The longer they stay in one spot, the more damage they do to plants and surfaces. What makes locusts different from other insects is that they arrive from outside suddenly, and a large gathering can build up before anyone notices it.
Call or message us on WhatsApp, tell us your district and describe what you are seeing, and we agree a time with you to treat the facades, garden, entrances and surfaces where the locusts have gathered.
These are the parts and areas the treatment covers, depending on the size of the gathering, the nature of the place and what you describe.
- External facades
Lit facades attract locusts at night, and we treat their surfaces and gaps because locusts tend to rest on walls and window frames.
- Garden and plants
Green plants are the first thing locusts target, and we treat the area around them to reduce the gathering before it damages the vegetation.
- Entrances and doors
Locusts get through gaps under doors and around frames, and we treat these surfaces to reduce the chance of them entering the building.
- Windows and openings
Locusts gather around window frames and mesh screens, and we treat these areas because they are main gathering points in an urban setting.
- Rooftops and canopies
Open rooftops and canopies attract large gatherings especially at night, and we treat these spaces as part of the visit.
- General building perimeter
We check the full perimeter of the building to find and treat less visible gathering points, since locusts are not limited to the main facade.

Questions about Locust control
How do I know the locusts in my garden need treating?
If you see a clear gathering on plants, the facade or the entrance, or start to notice plant damage such as holes in leaves or leaf drop, that is a sign the gathering is not just passing through. Locusts appear in waves and a gathering can grow quickly if outdoor lighting or greenery is drawing them in.
What do I prepare at home before the locust control visit?
It helps to keep children and pets away from the treatment areas, cover plant pots that are not being treated, and leave the entrances and paths toward the facade and garden open and easy to reach. If there is laundry hanging outside, it is a good idea to bring it in before we start.
Why do locusts come more at night?
Locusts are attracted to light sources, and outdoor lighting on homes and streets draws them in during dark hours. The daytime heat also makes daytime movement harder for them, so their activity increases at night. That is why gatherings on facades and entrances are most noticeable after sunset.
Does locusts on the facade mean there are locusts inside the home too?
Not necessarily. Locusts prefer outdoor surfaces and open spaces, but they can get in through gaps under doors or open windows. If you tell us when you call what you are seeing both inside and outside, we will agree on the right scope of treatment for the actual situation.
Does the size of the gathering change the scope of treatment or the cost?
Yes, the scope of treatment depends on the size of the gathering, the area involved and the nature of the affected surfaces. A small gathering at one entrance is different from one covering the full facade, garden and rooftop. That is why we ask you for the details when you call, before we agree on the appointment and the scope of work.
