What the service includes

What does construction-debris removal cover?

Once building work or partial demolition finishes, the site is left with broken brick blocks, chunks of concrete, plaster waste, protruding metal rod ends and timber off-cuts. This debris is heavy and often sharp-edged, and shifting it is a different job from cleaning dust or paint residue.

Tell us what the build has left on your site, whether rubble, metal, timber or a mix, give us a rough sense of the quantities, and tell us your district, and we agree a time to come and remove the debris and clear the space.

These are the main types of debris the work covers, depending on what the building or demolition work has left on your site.

  • Brick and concrete chunks

We gather and remove broken brick blocks and scattered concrete rubble, which are among the heaviest and hardest materials to shift without the right equipment.

  • Plaster and mortar waste

Dried plaster pieces and mortar remnants that fall during finishing work collect on floors and in corners, and we clear them as part of the removal.

  • Steel rods and wire

Cut reinforcing rod ends and binding wire left on the ground are hazardous to anyone walking the site, and we remove them along with the rest of the debris.

  • Timber boards and off-cuts

Leftover timber boards, door and frame off-cuts pile up quickly and take up space, and we lift them out in the full site clearance.

  • Empty cement bags and packaging

Empty cement bags, plastic packaging and polythene sheeting left by building work pile up in corners, and we collect them with the rest of the material.

  • Rough clean after clearance

After the debris is cleared, we sweep the floors of heavy dust and fine grit so the site is ready for the next stage of cleaning or for handover.

Questions

Questions about Construction-debris removal

How do I know what is left needs debris removal and not just a regular clean?

If the site has solid pieces or chunks of brick, concrete, plaster, steel or timber, that is debris removal, not a regular clean. A regular clean deals with dust and marks; solid rubble needs manual lifting and a completely different approach.

Do I need to pile the debris together before the team arrives?

It is not required, but describing the site accurately when you call helps us prepare. If the debris is spread across several areas, let us know, because the way rubble is distributed affects how the removal is organised.

What affects the price of construction-debris removal?

The amount and types of debris affect the price, since steel and concrete are heavier than timber and bags. Access to the site also matters, including whether it is on an upper floor or in a tight space that is hard to work in. We agree a price after you describe the situation.

What should I check myself after the debris removal?

Check the corners, behind doors and under staircases, as these are the spots where small remnants collect unnoticed. Also check access corridors and light wells if there are any, and let us know straight away if you find anything that needs attention.

Does construction-debris removal also work after partial demolition inside a home?

Yes, partial demolition such as knocking down a wall or opening a channel leaves rubble similar to new construction waste: brick, mortar and heavy dust. Tell us what happened and give a rough sense of how much there is, and we agree on what suits your site.
