What does UV sanitizing cover?
UV-C light works by breaking down the DNA of contaminants on hard surfaces and in the air of a room, leaving them unable to reproduce. This makes it well suited to spaces where wet sprays are not wanted, such as rooms with sensitive equipment, storage areas, and bedrooms where fine dust accumulates in the hot, dry conditions.
Call or message us on WhatsApp, tell us the type of space, which surfaces you want treated, and which district you are in, and we agree a time that suits you.
These are the surfaces and areas the UV sanitizing goes through, depending on the type of space and what it needs.
- Flat hard surfaces
Tables, shelves and desks receive direct UV light, as they are the most touched surfaces and a common point where contaminants transfer from hand to hand.
- Walls, doors and handles
Vertical surfaces and metal handles are treated by directing the light at them, since they are touched repeatedly, particularly in corridors and entrances.
- Air in closed rooms
Light is directed at the air of a closed room, because particles suspended in still air are exposed directly and are left unable to replicate.
- Glass and metal surfaces
Polished glass and smooth metal surfaces partially reflect UV light and partially absorb it, which extends coverage to nearby surfaces inside the room.
- Areas with sensitive equipment
Electronic devices and precision work surfaces can be sanitized with UV light without liquids that might seep into openings or leave residue on screens.
- Bedrooms and linen surfaces
Light is directed at sheet and pillow surfaces and the surrounding area, which suits bedrooms where fine dust particles from the air settle over time.

Tell us about the space
Tell us the type of rooms you want treated, whether there are sensitive devices or particular surfaces, and which district the place is in.
- 3
We agree a time and what to prepare
We settle on a time that works for you, and you clear the rooms of people and pets before we start, and cover anything you prefer not to expose directly to the light.
- 4
We treat the space and check with you
We treat the agreed surfaces and the air inside the rooms, then confirm with you that all the requested areas are covered before the rooms are opened again.

Questions about UV sanitizing
How do I know UV sanitizing suits my space better than spray sanitizing?
If the space has electronic devices or surfaces that should not get wet, or if you want sanitizing that leaves no moisture or smell in the room, UV light suits those situations. We discuss the nature of your space when you call and agree on the right approach.
What do I prepare before the team arrives for UV sanitizing?
Remove all people and pets from the rooms to be treated, and cover any plants. Make sure the surfaces you want sanitized are exposed and not hidden under covers or furniture, as UV light needs a direct line of sight to the surface to work on it.
Does UV light reach under furniture and into closed corners?
UV light travels in straight lines and does not bend around corners or pass through solid surfaces. Surfaces not facing the source directly need the device repositioned or a second method used alongside, and that is discussed when you describe the space.
What do I check after UV sanitizing is done?
Check that all treated rooms have been ventilated before you use them, and that the surfaces agreed on were included. Unlike spraying, there is no smell or moisture to signal that the work is done, so the team lets you know when each room is finished.
Does the fine dust affect how well UV sanitizing works?
A thick layer of dust on a surface can shield contaminants underneath from the light, because UV needs direct contact. Cleaning visible dust off surfaces before treatment is therefore recommended, and we confirm that with you when you call.
