What does window AC cleaning cover?
A window AC is a single self-contained unit that houses the coil, the fan and the compressor inside one metal casing. It sits in a wall opening and runs through months of dust and summer heat, so dirt builds up on the fins, the fan blades and the inside of the casing in ways you cannot see from outside.

- The mesh filter
We remove the filter, wash it thoroughly and let it dry before it goes back, because it is the first barrier against dust and a blocked filter cuts the airflow directly.
- The cooling coil and fins
The thin metal fins trap dust easily and block airflow, so we clean them with care to restore the cooling performance.
- The fan
The fan spins inside the closed casing and collects layers of dust on its blades, which is where the smell often comes from and why a rattling sound can develop.
- The inside of the casing
We wipe the inner walls of the metal casing clean, because trapped moisture and dust sitting together lead to rust over time.
- The condensate drain
We check that the cooling water drains freely, because a blocked drain sends water into the wall or onto the floor.
- The front cover and outer casing
We wipe the front cover, the air vents and the outer casing of dust and marks, the parts you see directly when the work is done.

Questions about Window AC cleaning
My window AC is running but the air is very weak, what is the cause?
In most cases the cause is a blocked filter or coil fins covered in dust. A window AC sits sealed inside a metal casing, and the dust and heat cause dust to build up on the thin fins quickly, narrowing the space for air to pass and weakening the cooling. Cleaning the unit from the inside is what addresses that.
Does the unit have to be pulled out of the wall to be cleaned?
That depends on the condition of the unit and what the cleaning needs. The filter comes out from the front without pulling the unit, but the coil, the fan and the inside of the casing cannot be reached properly without taking the whole body out. Tell us what you notice in your AC when you call and we agree on what suits its condition.
How do I prepare the space before you arrive?
Move furniture, curtains and objects close to the AC and clear space in front of the wall opening. If the unit is unusually high or in a narrow room, mention that when you call so we can prepare the right way.
What should I check after the cleaning is done?
Run the AC and check that the air comes out with good force and in the right direction, and that there is no smell when it starts. Check also that water exits from the outdoor drain and is not leaking into the wall. If you notice a new vibration or sound, let us know.
My window AC is old and gives off a smell, will cleaning help?
A smell from an older window AC usually comes from dust and moisture built up on the fan and the inside of the casing, and that is what cleaning addresses. If the smell is unusually sharp, there may be another cause, and the best step is to describe the smell and the symptoms to us when you call so we can understand the situation properly.
