What does facade cleaning by lift cover?
In the multi-storey buildings, layers of dust, mineral deposits and traffic-borne grease settle on the facade floor by floor, beyond the reach of anyone standing at ground level. In that situation a lift is not an optional addition but the only access method that lets the cleaning reach every surface with enough control and stability.
Call or message us on WhatsApp, tell us your district, the number of floors and the type of facade, and we agree a time and what needs to be prepared before we start.
These are the surfaces and parts the work goes through when a lift is used, depending on the facade type and its condition.
- The main facade surface
Accumulated dust and sticky marks are removed from panel, stone or glass floor by floor, working in a direction that stops dirt spreading from one section to the next.
- Joints between panels
The joints and edges between cladding or glass panels trap compressed dust that a wide pass cannot reach, and clearing them is part of each level the lift covers.
- Window edges and frames
Dust and the white marks left by mineral rainwater collect on metal or aluminium frame edges and are cleaned on the same pass at each floor.
- Seepage marks and salt deposits
Water seeping through small cracks or facade joints leaves white or yellow salt lines that can be treated once the lift reaches that level.
- Horizontal surfaces and ledges
Horizontal ledges and projecting window sills gather more dust and airborne grime than is visible from below, and they are part of the lift's path.
- The top section of the facade
The top floor and the roof edge are the most exposed to the coarse dust that the seasonal winds carry, and no other method reaches them without a lift or equivalent access.

Call or message us on WhatsApp
+966 54 084 3018 - 2
Tell us about the building
Tell us your district, the number of floors, the facade type, and whether there are obstructions around the building such as trees, parked cars or cables, so we can agree the right access method.
- 3
We agree a time and what to prepare
We settle on a time that suits you, you clear the area around the base of the building for the lift to move freely, and you let occupants of the upper floors know when the work will happen.
- 4
The cleaning and the check after
The lift goes over the facade floor by floor, and after the work check from the ground for any remaining marks or joints that were not cleaned, and let us know straight away if you notice anything.

Questions about Facade cleaning lifts
How do I know my building needs a lift and not another access method?
A lift suits buildings whose upper floors cannot be reached by a standard ladder or extended pole, and where the facade also runs a long horizontal distance. If the building sits in an open area with clear ground around its base it is usually a good candidate. We ask about the details when you call to suggest what suits the site.
Do I need a permit or approval before bringing the lift in?
Some locations, such as buildings on main roads or near junctions, may need prior coordination with the relevant authorities to close part of a pavement or lane. We advise you to ask us when you call and to inform the building management or whoever is responsible well before the agreed time.
What should I prepare before the team arrives with the lift?
Clear the area around the building of cars and obstructions as much as you can, close the windows on the floors the lift will work on that day, and let the occupants of those floors know the time. If any entrances or exits will be temporarily blocked, tell us in advance.
What do I check on the facade after the lift work is done?
Look at the facade from a sufficient distance in daylight and check that the surface looks even along the full width and height, paying attention to any remaining marks at joints or around frames. Also check that the sealant or filler in the joints between panels has not been disturbed during the cleaning.
The lift cannot reach one side of the building, what should we do?
This happens when the passage on one side of the building is too narrow because of an adjoining wall or ground services. In that case a lift can be combined with another access method such as drone facade cleaning or different access tools. Tell us the layout of the site when you call and we agree the right solution.
