What does oven cleaning cover?
The interior walls of an oven are made of coated steel or enamel and face repeated high heat that turns grease and food juices into a hard, burnt-on layer. That layer does not dissolve with water and ordinary soap, and it builds up thicker with every use.
Call or message us on WhatsApp, tell us what you notice in your oven and which district you are in, and we agree a time that suits you. We handle the work from start to finish, so leave the rest to us.
These are the parts the cleaning goes through, depending on the oven's condition and what has built up inside it.
- Interior walls and ceiling
Burnt-on deposits are removed from the four interior walls and the ceiling, where vapours rise and grease collects during cooking.
- Oven floor
The oven floor collects the most spills and crumbs, and needs careful attention to avoid scratching the coating.
- Metal racks
The racks are taken out and cleaned separately, since grease builds up on the wire rods and produces smoke when the oven heats up.
- Bottom drawer
The drawer beneath the oven traps crumbs and drips, and is cleaned inside and out to clear what has accumulated there.
- Inner and outer door glass
Grease builds up on the inner face of the door glass until you can barely see through it, and that residue is removed without scratching the surface.
- Door frame and edges
The door frame edges collect residue that a quick wipe misses, and they are cleaned so the door closes firmly again.

Questions about Oven cleaning
How do I know my oven needs a deep clean?
The clearest signs are smoke from the oven before food goes in, a burnt smell filling the kitchen, or visible dark layers on the interior walls. Hard black patches on the oven floor or on the racks mean grease has burnt on and built up past the point where a wipe will shift it.
Do I need to take the racks out before you arrive?
It is enough to leave the oven cold and keep the space around it clear. If you can take the racks out beforehand that helps, but they are removed during the work if not. Also tell us whether the oven is built into the units or freestanding, as that affects how we reach it.
Is the inside of the oven door glass cleaned too?
Yes, the inner face of the door glass faces cooking vapours directly and develops a greasy film that blocks the view. The glass is cleaned on both sides, and some ovens also get vapour between the glass layers, which is worth mentioning when you call so we can agree on how to handle it.
What affects how the job is scoped?
The oven's size, whether it is a single or double, its type, how long since the last clean, and how thick the deposits are all shape the scope of the job. An oven used daily for cooking needs more attention than one used occasionally. We ask about these details when you call.
What should I check once the oven has been cleaned?
Run the oven empty on a high heat for a few minutes; if there is no smoke and no burnt smell, the interior walls and floor are clean. Also check that the racks slide back into place easily, and that the door glass is clear when you look through it.
