What does engineered marble polishing cover?
Engineered marble is made from crushed stone or mineral powder compressed with polyester or epoxy resin, and that resin is what gives it its shine. With daily use, where fine dust, soap and repeated moisture are constant, this surface layer wears gradually and develops fine lines that side light reveals clearly.
We start by hearing what you notice on the surface, then agree on the scope depending on the type, condition and location of the surface. Call or message us on WhatsApp, tell us your district and what surfaces you have, and we take care of the rest.
These are the parts the polishing work goes through, depending on the condition, location and what you notice in the surface.
- Surface cleaning first
Dirt, stains and deposits are removed before any polishing begins, because working over a surface carrying soap residue or grease damages the resin rather than restoring its shine.
- Fine scratch treatment
Fine scratches in the resin scatter light in multiple directions and make the surface look hazy; they are treated by gradual levelling that works through each damaged layer in sequence.
- Floor polishing
Engineered marble floors wear unevenly along walking paths, and polishing covers levelling the whole surface, not just the worn patches, so the reflection is consistent across the room.
- Kitchen surfaces and counters
Engineered marble kitchen surfaces suffer from heat and food acids, and polishing restores an even surface while paying attention to edges and the areas surrounding the sink.
- Edges and corners
Engineered marble edges wear faster than the centre because they take daily knocks; they are included in the polishing because leaving them out makes the contrast with the rest obvious.
- Surface check after polishing
After the work is done you check the surface in good light from a side angle, the same way scratches show up, and you let us know if you notice any uneven area.
Four steps, and done
- 1
Call or message us on WhatsApp
+966 54 084 3018 - 2
Tell us what you notice
Describe what you see on the surface, whether lines, dullness or stains, and tell us your district and the type of surface, whether floor, counter or something else.
- 3
We agree a time and preparation
We settle on a time that suits you, and you clear objects off the surfaces and move light furniture away from the area to be polished.
- 4
Polishing and checking together
We work through the polishing in stages from coarser levelling to the final shine, then you check the surface with us under side light to confirm it is even before we leave.

Questions about Engineered marble polishing
How do I know my marble is engineered and needs polishing rather than grinding?
Engineered marble has a uniform colour and no irregular natural veining, and it usually comes in identical panels. The need for polishing shows up when the surface looks hazy in side light or has fine lines that cleaning cannot remove. This is different from grinding, which removes a thicker layer of the surface.
Why does engineered marble dull faster than natural stone?
Engineered marble relies on a resin layer for its shine rather than natural mineral crystals. That resin is more affected by soap, mild acids and the fine dust that builds up compared to solid natural stone, which is why dullness shows on its surfaces sooner.
Can engineered marble on walls be polished the same way as floors?
Engineered marble on walls can be polished, but the approach differs from floors in terms of access, direction of pressure and edge angles. When you call, tell us whether the surface is on a wall, floor or counter so we can agree on the right approach for your situation.
Do I need to empty the whole kitchen before the counter is polished?
You do not need to empty the whole kitchen. Removing small appliances and utensils from the counter to be polished and clearing enough space to move freely is sufficient. If the counter is connected to a sink, let us know when you call.
After my engineered marble floor is polished, when can the room be used again?
That depends on the materials used, the condition of the surface and the extent of the work, and the details are agreed when you call. After we finish, check the surface in side light before moving furniture back, and contact us if you notice any uneven area.
