Pool water treatment

Is your pool water cloudy, discoloured or showing deposits on the walls? These are signs of water imbalance, and we treat it to bring the water back to clear.

What the service includes

What does pool water treatment cover?

Pool water does not deteriorate overnight. The fine dust carried on the air settles into the water and gradually shifts its chemical balance. Once that balance breaks down, conditions suit algae growth and chalky deposits on the walls and floor, showing up first as faint cloudiness, a mark on the tile line or a smell that sharpens day by day.

Start with a call or a WhatsApp message and tell us what you notice in your pool water, your district and the approximate size of the pool. We agree a time and what you need to prepare, then we carry out the water treatment from the initial check through to restoring the balance.

These are the stages and surfaces the treatment goes through, depending on the condition of the water and what is visible on your pool walls and floor.

  • Water balance check

We measure the pH, chlorine and total alkalinity levels, because any imbalance affects water clarity and the condition of the pool surface directly.

  • Cloudiness treatment

Cloudy water means fine suspended particles the filter alone cannot catch, and we treat it by adjusting the water chemistry so the particles settle and can be removed.

  • Calcium deposit removal

Hard water leaves a white crust on the waterline and tiles, and we remove it because it abrades the surface and makes future cleaning harder.

  • Algae and stain treatment

Algae starts in corners, drains and shaded walls before spreading, and treatment varies depending on its colour and how deeply it has taken hold.

  • Pool walls and floor

We inspect the tile, gelcoat or painted surface according to your pool's finish, because each responds differently to deposits and requires a different cleaning approach.

  • Waterline band

The band around the waterline collects oils, dust and deposits in a concentrated strip, and it is the first thing that catches the eye when the pool starts to look off.

How to order

Four steps, and done

  1. 1

Call or message us on WhatsApp

    +966 54 084 3018
  2. 2

    Tell us about the water

Describe what you notice: cloudiness, an odd colour, deposits or a smell, and tell us your district, the approximate pool size and the finish type if you know it.

  3. 3

We agree a time and preparation

We settle on a time, and you check that the filter is running, the pool is at its normal level and there is clear access around the pool edge.

  4. 4

    Treatment and final check

We carry out the check, treat the water and remove deposits from the walls and waterline, then re-test the chemistry levels with you to confirm the balance is restored.

Questions

Questions about Pool water treatment

My pool water is cloudy but not green, what is causing it?

Cloudiness without a green tint usually means fine suspended particles unrelated to algae. They most often come from the airborne dust, an imbalance in total alkalinity or excess calcium. The filter cannot catch them because they are smaller than its mesh, and the water chemistry needs adjusting so they settle and can be removed.

Should I drain the pool before water treatment?

Not necessarily. Draining depends on the nature and severity of the problem, and many cases of cloudiness and light deposits are treated with the water in place. When you call and describe what you see, we can confirm whether draining is needed or treatment can go ahead as it is.

What should I prepare before the pool water treatment visit?

Check that the filter pump is running and the water level is where it normally sits. Clear the pool edge of equipment, and leave the pump access easy to reach. If you know your pool's finish type, tile, gelcoat or paint, mention it when we agree the time.

Do waterline deposits damage the pool walls?

Yes, over time. Calcium deposits on the waterline are not only a cosmetic issue; as they build up they roughen the tile or paint surface, making dirt and algae easier to attach later. The longer they are left, the harder they are to remove without affecting the surface underneath.

When is water treatment alone enough and when do I need disinfection too?

Water treatment restores chemical balance and removes cloudiness and deposits, and it suits cases where the problem is in the water's appearance or mineral makeup. If the water looks clear but foam appears or the smell changes suddenly, that points to a need for disinfection. Describe what you see when you call and we will work out which applies.
